From schools to camps to synagogues, from Israel trips to cultural events, the Jewish Community of WNC is woven into the fabric of everyday life in our area. All Community members, no matter their interests, affiliation, neighborhood or orientation can find fun, inspiration and opportunities for growth through formal and informal Jewish education experiences.

Check our Calendar of Events often for the very latest on upcoming class opportunities, lectures, and special events.

Take a Class at One of Our Congregations.

In service to our local community, area Congregations offer many classes led by the Rabbis and lay teachers. Some classes are in the evenings, while others take place during the week, or on Sundays while children are in religious school.

With a range of classes from Torah Chanting to Jewish Cooking, there’s always something for everyone. Learn how Talmudic Law relates to our current system of laws, for example.

LEAD A CLASS.

Do you have a set of skills or some special knowledge you can share with other Community members? A lot of classes are open sharing of ideas and anyone can be a teacher or class leader.

Scholarship & Aid Opportunities.

College scholarships and direct aid of last resort are both available through Jewish Family Services of WNC.
